Run Rheban Run 28th April – Entries Closing Soon

We’d really hate that you were thinking of entering but you got distracted at the last moment and then you missed out - So here is your final reminder that entries will close for the Rheban event on Monday evening, 23rd of April. Entries close just a few days before the event date, so we won’t be accepting any late entries. This is shaping up to be a great event in a very scenic area. If you are thinking of entering please do so soon at https://www.rt.asn.au/events/upcoming-events/rheban-6hr-and-12-hr-rogaine

November 2018 Rogaine

We are in the early stages of planning for a bush and farm event in the south of Tassie, tentatively to be held on November 24th. We have an area in mind and setters organised – but we could do with some help with vetting. Contact if you are interested or just curious. Setting or vetting an event is a great way of improving your navigation skills and you don’t have to be a “big gun” rogainer to be able to do it.

2018 Australasian Champs

A reminder that the Australasian Rogaining Championships this year are being held near Gympie Qld on August 25 and 26th. Early bird entry fees are available until May 1st. The event website now has lots of details and some photos of the terrain. http://www.qldrogaine.asn.au/qraonline/html/wp/

Intervarsity Champs Funding

The 2018 Intervarsity Rogaining Championships will be held in conjunction with the Australasian Rogaining Championships. The Nigel Aylott Memorial Sports Foundation (NAMSF) supports university students to travel to the event. NAMSF was set up in memory of Nigel Aylott, a keen adventure racer and rogainer, to encourage engagement in these outdoor sports.

The Intervarsity Rogaining Championships is open to all university students (full-time, part-time, undergraduate, or post-graduate). Students in a team must be from the same university. In awarding the travel subsidy, preference is given to undergraduate teams.

More details can be read at http://www.qldrogaine.asn.au/qraonline/html/wp/2018-intervarsity-championships

If you are interested please send an email to by Sunday 27th of May. If we get more than one application the RT committee will award the subsidy to the most experienced and successful team based on past performances.
