Historic Hobart Town Metrogaine - Entries close this Monday 23 July
Grab a friend or go with the family to explore historic Battery Point and Upper Sandy Bay in this 4 hour metrogaine on Saturday 28 July.
A deluge of questions will involve the names, build dates and occupants of HOUSES, the nineteenth century HISTORY of Hobart Town and the modern mainly sculptural (H)ART in public places.
This event lasts for 4 hours (you go at your own pace and it's okay to swing by a cafe). Everybody starts at the same time and you can finish at any time before the 2:15pm deadline. Places are determined by the total point value of the controls you have visited. Watch out - there are BIG penalties for getting back late.
The closing date for entries is this Monday 23 July. If you have any queries contact Mark Hey -
Make sure to enter the SunSEQer Rogaine before 31 July. Prices go up significantly after that date.
The rogaine will be held in very scenic rolling hill country near Gympie, in South East Qld, on 25-26 August 2018. Experienced course setter Richard Robinson has set a course rich in variety and navigational challenge.
You don't have to be an elite rogainer to enter the event - novices and families are welcome. You also don't have to stay out on the course for the whole 24 hours - come back in for a feed and a red wine by the campfire, and have a sleep if you like. If you decide to stay out on the course for less than 15 hours, you will get a result in the 15 Hour Roving category, so that you can still be competitive.
